The Panel touched on a variety of topics and as a blogger some of the knowledge that was shared was beneficial to me. Some statements that stood out. Steve Canal stated that last August 2010 he had 2011 planned out, now how many of us can say that! Its imperative to have a "game plan". Stan Jones also gave out vital information in regards to requesting sponsorships. He stated it should outline the basics
  1. Who are you?
  2. What are your Qualifications?
  3. What is your organization about?
  4. Brand Knowledge
  5. What do you want?
  6. What are the benefits of involvement?

Cheryl Turner basically shared information on the risk management aspect. Meaning that companies evaluate and research to make sure you would be a match for the company and determine would the collaboration be a good investment

Overall this event was very valuable to the Atlanta PR community and I was honored to be invited. Many thanks to Angela Watts, Christal Jordan  and Tambria Peeples
