Legendary make-up
artist, Pat McGrath, adorned the lips of models with glimmering
24-karat gold powder at Prada’s S/S 2016 runway show in Milan.
Pat McGrath continued
to push the boundaries of beauty as the mysterious, high-impact, rich metallic
pigment was applied to the lip and juxtaposed against the stripped bare faces of
the models. Her slightly futuristic but also surreal inventiveness created an
electric feel among the models, fashion and beauty enthusiasts backstage
McGrath is famous for
her innovative use of color, textures and materials and the gold pigment
solidifies her position as one of the most creative forces in the beauty and
fashion industry. Adding another layer of mystery, backstage at the show
McGrath neither confirmed nor denied that the mysterious pigment was a creation
of hers. We’ll just have to wait and see.
