OPI Launches the San Francisco Collection For Fall/Winter 2013

San Francisco by OPI brings street chic style with West Coast flair to nails and toes for Fall/Winter 2013. This new collection features a palette ranging from sky and sea-colored hues of blues and gray to reds, burgundies and browns inspired by some of the city’s most iconic elements – Chinatown, the Golden Gate bridge and the Embarcadero. This fall mélange is mixed with texture, seen in three new Liquid Sand™ nail lacquers in earthy hues of taupe, blue and gray: It’s All San Andreas’s Fault, Wharf! Wharf! Wharf! and Alcatraz…Rocks. Liquid Sand lacquers dry to a textured, matte finish, infused with reflective sparkle.

To me, the women of San Francisco and the city itself really epitomize today’s multifaceted beauty consumer,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director.  “San Francisco offers a European flair with distinct West Coast attributes. These elements inspired a collection of urban chic nail lacquer shades, thanks to the sophisticated combination of high fashion and eclectic street style.

“With twelve colors ranging from moody grays and blues to garnet and ruby jewel tones, these lacquers are designed to accessorize fall’s hottest looks, from military details to winter whites,” continues Weiss-Fischmann. “On fall runways, models were seen wearing luxurious textures from head to toe. The three new Liquid Sand nail lacquers incorporate the texture trend through nails, with rich matte finishes in colors to complement the season’s fashion.”

San Francisco by OPI includes the following shades:

New Contemporary Brand QUINN Debuts Fall 2013 Collection

On January 22, 2013,  the new luxury lifestyle brand QUINN announced the launch of its first collection. QUINN introduces its original design concepts and signature effortless style with its fall 2013 collection, “Old is New”Inspired by Old World art and architecture, the design team created a ready-to-wear collection that is uniquely modern. The influence of Gothic cathedrals and surrealistic portraits can be seen throughout the line—from the rich color palette reminiscent of stained-glass windows to the symmetrical prints that mimic intricate columns and luminescent chandeliers.

“The line offers a new perspective,” said design director Bree Telford. “We reinterpreted traditional stitches in knitwear and created organic, intertwining cables, geometric intarsias and modern fair isles. These small details make the garments really special.”

With this collection, QUINN emphasizes its commitment luxury. Luxe materials, like cashmere, silk, leather and wool, are found throughout the line. Beautiful mouliné yarns in colors exclusive to QUINN are knitted into cashmere overpieces, dolman-sleeved sweaters and tapered dip-dye pants.

“Our moulinés and printed fabrics are unique to the brand, so there is nothing similar to them out there in the market right now,” said Telford. “The exclusivity of our products reinforces QUINN as a luxury brand.”

Standout pieces from the collection include a pair of satin pleated pants, an asymmetrical paneled leather jacket and an aubergine rabbit fur vest. The line takes a playful turn with its animal intarsia sweaters that depict a pair of geometric swans and a rippling portrait of a tiger.

“The styles are cohesive, without being repetitive, and are easily mixed and matched to create a fresh look every time,” said marketing manager Kosi Harris.

The opening price point for ranges from $100 for knitwear, $190 for woven pieces and $225 for leather styles. The line will be carried in luxury retailers, contemporary stores and the brand’s own e-commerce site, Quinnshop.com.

The collection has already created a buzz among fashion frontrunners. QUINN has been seen on Emily Blunt & Juno Temple.

“We’ve received a great reaction from editors, bloggers, stylists and celebrities,” said Harris. “It’s a really exciting time right now for all of us at QUINN, and we are looking forward to big things in the coming season.”

OPI Launches the Germany Collection for Fall/Winter 2012

OPI embraces runway trends with the Germany Collection for Fall/Winter 2012. Drawing inspiration from Berlin, an exciting new fashion hub that blends classic looks with the avant-garde, the collection’s twelve shades offer a mixture of vibrant color, urban-chic neutrals, and reds in variations from light to dark.

“Designers showcased rich colors and striking textures for fall,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director.  “The Germany Collection beautifully complements these looks, with standout shades in various hues of red and burgundy – the season’s ‘new black.’ Sapphire, black olive and lime yellow are married with creamy neutrals in honey, taupe and nude rose.”

“The overall feel of the Germany Collection is elegance with an edge,” adds Suzi. “The varied palette of colors adds another accent to the list of special touches – think beadwork, paneling, fur and embroidery – that walked the runways during New York Fashion Week. Wearing these shades on fingers and toes is a great way to accessorize a range of looks for the season.”
Germany by OPI includes the following shades:
