Exclusive Interview with VH1's 'Twinning' Winners + Fashion Designers Shawn & Claire

Fresh off their win on VH1's "Twinning" show last month super stylish twins Shawn & Claire
Buitendorp has been featured in Teen Vogue and Nicole magazines have become THE designers to go to when performers are looking for the hottest, original performance outfits for major national broadcasts. Last night I was able to speak with the designers to get a little insight into their brand and more!

How would you describe your personal style in 3 words?

"Shock and Awww"

Shock and Awww is the creation of identical twins, Shawn and Claire. They wanted to build a brand that embodied both Shawn’s love of edgy and dramatic fashion and Claire’s passion for sparkly and romantic styles.

Where do you find inspiration?

"Being from Grand Ledge, Michigan -- Nature and by creating clothes that we would wear ourselves "

What's next, Upcoming Projects?

"We will be debuting our 1st Collection during NYFW in February in presentation style and maybe a miniseries in the works"

They have also been featured in VH1’s new reality competition series, “Twinning,” American Idol, Teen Vogue Magazine, NYLON, ELLE Japan, Katy Perry: Part of Me, Women’s Wear Daily, and have had collaborations with Betsey Johnson and Dylan’s Candy Bar.

Sheen Magazine hosts 'Bloggers Bash and Media Blitz' with Robert Riley of VH1's 'Hit The Floor'

On Saturday May 24, 2014 I had the opportunity to attend Sheen Magazine's "Blogger's Bash and Media Blitz" with actor Robert Riley of VH1's "Hit The Floor". We were able to get an exclusive sneak peak into the first episode of Season 2 which premieres this Monday May 26th on VH1 at 9pm. This season is starting off exactly where they left off so be sure to check it out! Before our Q & A session with Robert Riley he was serenaded by Havok Jones a hot new girl group. This event was a great way to kick off memorial day weekend Atlanta media enjoyed complimentary cocktails by Exclusiv Vodka and delectable desserts by Cake Café Atlanta.

Roundtable Discussion + 'Meet & Greet' with Mona Scott Young

On March 25, 2013 I had the pleasure of attending a Roundtable Discussion and Meet and Greet with the AMAZING Mona Scott Young. She is the owner of Monami Entertainment, as well as former co-owner and president of Violator Management. Executive Producer of 'The Gossip Game” and “Love & Hip Hop NY/ATL" on VH1.

During the discussion Mona introduced her brand of Moscato "Myx Fusions" to the panel. Myx Fusions is a refreshing fruit infused Moscato beverage, blended with natural fruit juices & flavors. The beverage comes in three delicious flavors Peach, Coconut, and Moscato. I tried the Peach it was absolutely divine!

I was able to ask Mona a couple of questions at the Roundtable check out what she said below:

Arkeedah: What can we expect from Season 2 of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, I know there are some new cast members joining?

Mona: Yes, there are some new cast members joining, and ALL of the cast will be returning. If you think season 1 was explosive, Season 2 is going to top that! The super trailer for Season 2 will be released soon!

Arkeedah: How do you find balance with launching a new Moscato brand, spending time with your family and producing multiple shows?

Mona: I'm still trying to master that, but I have a very supportive husband and he helps with the family and also supporting me after a long day!

VH1's BBWLA Malaysia Pargo branded MARRIED wedding band

Malaysia Pargo of VH1's Basketball Wives LA and wife of NBA star, Jannero Pargo has created a new product. This is sure to catch the attention of all the single ladies and married ones too. Recently, Malaysia released an image of the new item on instagram/twitter and so I had to get the inside scope. Three Beats is a luxury jewelry brand Malaysia created within the the last few years. Her initial focus was the kids jewelry line. Shortly after its launch the demand grew and women were asking for an adult women line. Well paying close attention to her fans; she has something new, a wedding band that brands "MARRIED" on your gents finger." This is something a wife can get for her husband to ensure while he's working out in the gym other females know he's taken. Or maybe you are the man that wants to prove to his special lady that she is just that and he doesn't care who knows." Either way this is an awesome invention. Malaysia was asked would she make one for her husband and she stated, "He's mine and ain't going anywhere but, YES, that's his finger in picture."

I'm left with two questions, "Ladies would you buy, fellas would you wear?"

VH1's Basketball Wives Malaysia Pargo rocks a fierce Bob while attending VH1's 'Do Something' Awards

Malaysia Pargo of VH1's Basketball Wives attends VH1's "Do Something Awards. She is the spouse of NBA star Jannero Pargo. The awards were geared to honor the youth 25 and under, that are considered the "best world changers".

Malaysia compliments the blue carpet serving sexy-elegance in her dusty pink, embellished shoulder Australian designer dress and golden bronze metallic Christian Louboutins. Adding slight edge to her look, Malaysia decides to rock an ombre A-symmetrical razor textured "bob" hairstyle.

Some other the other cast were present as well: Draya, Jackie, Bambi, Laura and Tami Roman (Basketball Wives Miami).

Attendees: NeYo, Will.I. Am, Chris Bosh, Kelly Osbourne, Nick Cannon, Flo Rida, KeKe Palmer, LisaRaye McCoy, Cymphonique Miller and a host of many others.

Joseline, Stevie J, K.Michelle & Scrappy Show Out at NY Press Reception

Last night, “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” cast members Joseline, Stevie J, K.Michelle and Scrappy along with LHHATL executive producer Mona Scott Young kicked off their week in NYC at a press reception at Griffin in the Meatpacking District.Sponsored by Bartenura Wines and Ciroc, the private event – attended by over 100 New York media VIPs – featured an episode screening and a candid Q&A that featured comments like:

Scrappy: “If getting checks with my mama makes me a mama’s boy, then I guess I’m a mama’s boy.”

Joseline: “I do whatever my daddy (Stevie J) tells me to do.”

Q&A topics ranged from the status of Stevie J and Joseline’s relationship to Scrappy not wanting to pay child support to K.Michelle’s music career. The full LHHATL cast is set to tape the reunion show today.
